Finding balance is not always easy when habits are ingrained, emotional attachments, and societal norms and pressures are present. Exploring unmet needs in our food choices is often the first step into growing towards new and healthy habits.

Bladder Detox, Hydrating Alkalizing Module II of VI

The Lung Detox workshop was a great success, a day filled with much laughter and fun. If you missed Module I, it is available virtually. Please scroll down for details.

The first organ system we looked at was the lungs because it’s the most important for toxin excretion. Now we want to focus on the bladder next because it’s essential preparation for the other two exits and for every other part of this program. (Skin and large intestine) When we skip ahead and do the more advanced cleanses, we fall short because we haven’t done the bladder detox. The three goals of bladder detox are:

Goal 1: Hydrating

The first goal is to be well hydrated. There’s a rhyme to remind you of why this is important;

Nature’s solution to pollution is dilution.

However we are transporting toxins out – whether via the lungs, bladder, skin, or large intestine – water is needed.

The aim is to help you to make hydration an effortless daily practice like brushing your teeth, rather than seeing it as a something you have to struggle to achieve.

Goal 2: Alkalizing

It’s probably more accurate to call this ‘balancing our pH’ but alkalizing is the more well known term. The idea with alkalizing is to bring our pH – our body chemistry – into balance.

Goal 3: Electrolyte Balance

Having the correct balance of electrolytes is fundamental. If you find that even though you know it’s important to drink plenty of water, you just can’t seem to drink it, it’s likely to because your body is trying to protect itself from having its electrolytes diluted. You need enough of the electrolytes and you also need them to be balanced. Again, in this module I will show you how to do that.

All dishes will be made from a balance of wholesome, cleansing ingredients, and organic when available. We’ll share a practice I am most excited in introducing, Mindful Eating. The Raw Food Lifestyle being the main focus, this workshop is open regardless of your present eating lifestyle.

On our day together we prepare:

  • Green drink
  • Green smoothie
  • Raw oatmeal porridge with freshly made nut milk
  • Quick and easy blended soup
  • Sprout and greens perfect salad
  • Radiation cleansing salad dressing
  • Surprise desert

In recent history, mankind has managed to drastically change the chemistry of the environment in which we live. For example, in 1996 alone, more than 418,000,000 pounds of chemicals were released into the ground, threatening a portion of the soil we grow our food in and the natural underground water tables that supply some of our drinking water.

Over 45,000,000 pounds of chemicals were also discharged into surface waters such as lakes and rivers. More than 1,000,000,000 pounds of chemical emissions were pumped into the air we breathe.

A grand total of 2,433,506,582 pounds of chemical pollutants were released into the environment we eat, breathe, and live in, all in just one year. While it is important to be aware of toxins and do our best to avoid major sources, we can't escape the reality of worldwide pollution on many levels.

The best strategy is to practice good health habits and cultivate a vital life force capable of dealing with environmental stresses.

Cleansing is an important part of developing and maintaining a balanced body system, resistant to the excesses of the world.
